As we draw to the end of the year, let’s take a look back at the roller-coaster ride that has been 2018.
The Spice Girls reunited, Beyoncé and Jay-Z went on tour TOGETHER, Prince Harry married Meghan Markle, and football nearly came home.
2018 started with all eyes on Pyeonchang for the Winter Olympics and Paralympics. Team GB did us proud with 12 medals across both Games and four of those came from our friend and hero, Menna Fitzpatrick.
A few weeks later, Menna joined us, along with fellow Olympic Gold Medallist Kate Richardson-Walsh, for our five-year vision day at BBI HQ.
They joined members of the BBI senior management team on stage to discuss how their values map on to ours:
They shared with us the characteristics of a great team and the importance of having a set of clear values to work towards and how they impact overall performance and culture.
Their words of encouragement seem to have done the trick as this year our talented team members have delivered their best work yet. Our campaigns have made brands get seen and heard, become more relevant to their audience, improved conversions and delivered meaningful results.
We’re so proud of the work we’ve produced for our clients: from our global campaign for GBG in March; to our World Cup campaigns for Nextbase, Marstons and National Pub Fortnight in the summer; our #moreme recruitment campaign for Stockport & Trafford College Spooky Pubs campaign for Halloween; to our Homeserve Christmas campaign, that only launched this week.
Our work is getting noticed too. This year, we celebrated our own mini medal haul, bringing home:
And, having grown our staff to 50 and boosted our turnover by 61%, this year we were also recognised in the Prolific North Top 50 Integrated Agencies for the first time.
Here at Big Brand Ideas, we have a vision and big plans. 2018 has been a year of success, and one we want to build on, so thank you for all your support this year.
Merry Christmas and here’s to an even bigger and better 2019!
