This is my first blog post for Big Brand Ideas, so I'd better introduce myself...
My name is Nick Entwistle, founder of the Bank of Creativity and One Minute Briefs. Since my previous advertising roles at Driven and McCann working on brands such as Aldi, American Airlines, Vimto, Subway, Jacamo and Go Outdoors, I've been working as a freelance creative around the UK on campaigns for the likes of Irn Bru, Bentley, E-Lites, Miele, Vauxhall & Drinkaware and I’m delighted to announce my latest exciting challenge at BBI.
Some of you may have seen the picture I tweeted a few weeks ago in London of myself with Jon Butler and Adam Britton of upcoming agency Big Brand Ideas.
Well, it wasn’t just an excuse for a beer after all. It was, in fact, an interesting meeting as we spoke about ways I could work with BBI and incorporate some of the thinking from BOC & OMB to help grow the brand, which has already grown 200% year on year with another huge growth forecasted this year.
Well, I’m happy to say that the meeting went really well and, as a result, I have now joined BBI one day a week in a Creative Director role and will be tasked with creating concepts that live up to the name of Big Brand Ideas, as well as helping to grow the brand with my experience in social media and advertising. This comes at a time when BBI are about to launch an all-new brand and website so I am very pleased to be part of the exciting times ahead.
I’m going to be working on some big nationwide clients alongside the brilliant, and very talented, bunch at BBI, with the team sure to expand as we move into a new much bigger agency space in the next couple of months.
I am already really impressed by the creativity within the agency with lots of talent on show in the areas of gaming, design, web design and branding. The opportunity to work with Jon and his team is something I’m relishing and I’m looking forward to being part of something Big here.
As well as us working together, BBI are also going to be the main sponsor of my upcoming One Minute Briefs event and will be helping to host the event. We’ll also be looking at ways of collaborating to create some exciting user-generated social campaigns for BBI brands.
