MTFC campaign nominated for ‘Creative Impact Award’ at Cheshire Business Awards

After a triumphant awards season last year, Big Brand Ideas are set to return to the circuit with two Cheshire Business Awards nominations in the bag!

How did we manage that? Well you may have seen our posts back in May about the ‘We’re Going’ campaign for Macclesfield Town FC. We were tasked with creating a buzz around the final of the Buildbase FA Trophy at Wembley, with the goal of selling 6,000 tickets. After a successful couple of months of campaigning in the local area, final ticket sales were over 8,000. This impressed the judges of the Cheshire Business Awards enough to nominate us for the Creative Impact Award at the 2017 awards, amongst some stiff competition such as Wild Rumpus and Salary Exchange.

Jon Butler, managing director said of the nomination: “We are chuffed to bits to be nominated. Creative Impact is exactly what Big Brand Ideas is all about – we bring together insight and creativity to deliver business results for our clients. Our print advertising, outdoor posters, social media and supporters’ website not only drove ticket sales for the final, but also boosted season ticket sales by 50%. We even had members of the Big Brand Ideas team dressed as the club mascot Roary the Lion! We can’t wait to head down to the Cheshire Business Awards and celebrate all the great local talent.”

The fun doesn't stop there! Adam Britton, managing director of Big Brand Ideas’ content production arm - Trunk, has been shortlisted for Young Business Person of the Year, giving us not one but two chances to take home a trophy.
